We are excited to celebrate our love surrounded by family and friends. Seeing all of you will fill our hearts with joy. Thank you for considering attending our special day, we can't wait to create beautiful memories together. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you plan your trip to join us.
If you are planning to attend, it is essential to note that you will need a passport that can take up to 13 weeks to receive. Once you know if you can join us for our wedding in Punta Cana, RSVP. The resort requires all wedding guests to book their room by June 30, 2024.
All guests must book their room from the link on our wedding website (below). Any guests who book outside our wedding website source (Desitfy) will be charged $25 per person per event (ceremony, reception, welcome party). Desitfy does price match with other sources like Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, Hotels, Cheap Caribbean, and Travelocity. for the price of the room. To price match, you must contact guestservices@destify.com. Additionally, if any guests are staying somewhere other than the Hard Rock Resort, you will have to purchase a wedding day pass for $136 per Adult.
You can reserve your room with a security deposit of $150/ per person and pay the remaining amount 68 days before your stay. We recommend doing this as soon as you can, the rates of the hotel are subject to change and so is the minimum night stay unless you have a room reserved. When booking your room, consider adding transportation to get you to and from the airport. Remember, once you book a room, modifying your reservation does not guarantee your original rate and minimum night stay. All members who are attending must be listed on the room reservation. If you have any trouble, please contact us or the hotel concierge team. We want this to be as easy as possible and enjoyable for everyone. We will likely plan a welcoming activity for Friday, September 27, 2024, and the wedding ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, so try and plan your stay accordingly. Most guests are staying Thursday, September 26 - Monday, September 30th.
The dress code for guests attending the wedding ceremony is semi-formal. We know it is going to be hot but don't come in swimwear.
About Us
Once upon a time, in a world full of possibilities, two souls embarked on a remarkable journey of love. Kayla (Findlay, Ohio) and Damon (Akron, Ohio), met in passing at Alexandria's of Findlay, Ohio. Months later, they reconnected on the infamous Tinder. The official first date was March 11, 2020, at Findlay Brewing Company, then the bowling alley, then the world went on shut down. Amongst all the negatives associated with the COVID pandemic, the shutdown allowed Damon and Kayla to establish their relationship and discover a deep and undeniable connection before Damon moved to California. Not the miles apart or pandemic could separate the couple, their relationship blossomed. They explored the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to San Francisco and shared laughter in some of LA's most renowned restaurants (Nobu, Highlight Room, Catch LA). Their love became an unbreakable bond, a sanctuary in a chaotic world. After being in a long-distance relationship for a year, they decided to come together in one place where they could begin building their life together - Charlotte, NC. In October 2021, they purchased their first home in the largest subdivision of North Carolina. In their free time, they like to play volleyball, explore, try new food, travel, work out, and cook! One Friday afternoon, Damon took Kayla to a place in uptown Charlotte, "Rosies Garden". Upon arrival, they got a coffee and proceeded to walk the garden area where Damon began a trivia game with Kayla asking her to identify memories by locations and then handing her a photo taken of her in that location. At the end of the trivia, he said, "There is only one thing missing in all of these photos" as he got down on one knee. Now, surrounded by their loved ones, Kayla and Damon joyfully invite you to witness and celebrate with them while of course adventuring yourself! Join them in this celebration of love as they begin their happily ever after.
